Online survey on the Nationwide Alert Day

On the occasion of the second Nationwide Alert Day 2022, we conducted a large-scale public survey on the Nationwide Alert Day in the ISF project in cooperation with the Criminological Research Institute of Lower Saxony (Kriminologisches Forschungsinstitut Niedersachsen e.V., KFN). The online survey took place between 8 and 15 December 2022 and attracted great interest.

In total, we were able to analyse the data of 833,487 individuals participating in the survey and gained valuable insights into the test alert perception on the Nationwide Alert Day. This will allow us to identify weak points in the warning system and to optimise the system so that even more people in Germany can be effectively warned – regardless of their place of residence, age and origin.

In addition, we conducted a media resonance analysis and surveys in the sixteen Länder as well as with the warning disseminators connected to MoWaS.
