Local sirens have to be connected to MoWaS and be controlled by it in order to be also sounded via the modular warning system and not only locally.
In the ISF project, we examined how sirens can be controlled via the radio network of the BDBOS (Bundesanstalt für den Digitalfunk der Behörden und Organisationen mit Sicherheitsaufgaben, Federal Agency for Public Safety Digital Radio) and developed an implementation concept for the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance.
